Chartered on May 1st, 1991, the Iota Chi Phi chapter of Alpha Chi Rho at Rowan University is one of the oldest social fraternities on campus. Although many fraternities have came and went, Alpha Chi Rho continues to stand the test of time, and has cultivated men of word and deed for 23 years at Rowan University.
Alpha Chi Rho’s basic principles are found in the Landmarks, formed by the founders of the fraternity over a century ago. They culminate the noble traditions of Alpha Chi Rho and Represent what our founders believed was ideal Brotherhood. They are as follows:
- Membership from among those who are prepared to realize in word and deed the Brotherhood of All Men
- The insistence on a high and clean moral standard
- The paramount duty of Brotherly love among members
- Judgement not by externals, but by intrinsic worth: no one is denied membership in Alpha Chi Rho because of race, creed, or nationality
Alpha Chi Rho is a national men’s collegiate fraternity whose purpose is to enhance the lifelong intellectual, moral and social development of our members through the guidance of our landmarks.
The motto of Alpha Chi Rho AN∆PIZEΣΘE, which translates as “Be Men”
